Hey there! I'm looking at becoming a police officer here in WA. Hopefully in the Renton area, anyone around in that department or maybe have some advice how to get in?

 

A buddy of mine just went through the application process for a department up north. Apply, get contacted, jump through hoops, pass tests. Easier described than done, it's a process and they are very thorough. I believe the WSP is also hiring (perpetually?). A lot of departments list the job postings and requirements on their websites. Some of them might work like fire agencies where they utilize a third party testing company, National or Public Safety Testing or whatever.
