Driving up I-5 yesterday and became one of the ping-pong balls in a 5-car pile up. Sucks.....

 

Bummer. I wonder if heavy rock sliders would have spared the door damage.

Use the insurance money for tube fenders! Glad you are ok... I am replacing my front bumper tomorrow if you need a like new factory front bumper.

I know how you feel! I got rear ended stopped on main street and hit by a 3/4 ton chevy the 8th day if driving my 2012. Only damaged the back bumper and tailgate handle. I have my front bumper if you want to buy it lol.

 

You guys are heartless....

Gary, you're right, a pair of LoD sliders would've come in handy... I think the repair shop is going to bring everything back to stock. I'm going to call monday and see if the flares (3 out of 4) and front bumper be replaced with some aftermarket goodies if I pick-up the difference.

 

Sorry to hear about the pong action but everybody's right about using this as an opportunity to upgrade. Especially since the prices on the mopar edition tupperware are rather high.

Every time I had an insurance claim on my previous vehicle I either took a check and upgraded the parts that got stolen myself or worked it out with the shop and covered the tiny difference on aftermarket gear.
