check engine light code P0455
I mentioned before the GASCAP code doesn't necessarily mean the actual gascap is the problem. It's more than likely one of your vacuum lines has a leak, the evap canister has a leak, or a seal is broken. When I broke off my evap canister on the trail, I got a GASCAP code until I replaced it, including the o-ring seal between the canister and the vacuum pump.
I changed out the gas cap and it came back right away. I had an appointment to have it looked at but it turned off before hand. I still took it in and they said come back if it comes back. I did get under the jk and check lines and look for leaks none that I could find. I installed a evap skid and double checked all connections and all looked good. so for now it is a waiting game. The evap skid was a xmas gift and was not put on for any related issue.
