Default Evan's Creek for a stock Rubi?

Want to go Jeepin' tomorrow, Memorial Day.

Can a stock Rubi do Evan's creek with a fairly experienced driver?

Anyone heading out that way tomorrow?

Haven't been there yet, and unfortunately I already have plans or i'd head out with you and try my luck. Have fun if you decide to check it out.

Thanks, guess I will give it a try. I'm experienced enough to know when I should give up and turn around.

Looks like a few guys from pnwjeep just went up there on the 14th. Still a ton of snow. Check out the site and the trip report section and you'll see the thread, there's vids and pics.

Yeah I talked with Ed last night over email. I think I will hold off and just do a run to Tahuya.

He said you'd need some body armor for Evan's Creek, and it still had a lot of snow.

Are we ever going to get summer around here?

Just got back from Tahuya. Had some fun getting the Jeep dirty. I also managed to knock the shock off the front anti-sway bar. .

Here's my poser shot in the rock garden. Just doesn't look the same with a stock jeep.

Glad to see you made it out somewhere. Yeah the pics might look a little better with a few mods, but flex is flex. And you're gettin out there and learnin what she can do before you throw down on upgrades and tear it apart thanks to a little over confidence. Heh, if I waited for more than tires i'd have never hit the trails.

The random rock piles at tahuya can cause a few problems. I just washed the jeep after the last run I did over there and saw where my oil pan broke my fall. Not a terrible dent, but I'm still lucky it didn't split there and then. Looks like I've finally got a good reason for that benchmark oil pan.

Any ideas how to press in the bushings on the steering stabilizer shock?

Last edited by LeftyStrat; May 30, 2011 at 05:06 PM. Reason: Steering stabilizer not sway bar.
