Default Feeler: WTT my 35's for your 37's or someway for me to get 37's

This is a longshot but........ Well after this weekend I've come to realize that I want a little bit bigger tire and some more ground clearance. I have my 35" MTR's (only 4, I don't have a matching spare) that I'd like to either sell or trade for a set of 37" MTR's (preferably) or another quality 37. I'll pay all tire dismount and mount fees if someone wants to trade. I don't know if anyone is looking to downgrade to my 35's or maybe you've been looking for 35's and found a deal on 37's and we can work a three way... Just looking for options. My MTR's are still 80% or better since I've only had them on for a year with fairly limited mileage if anyone is interested. I see that the 35's go for $1280+ tax on discount tire for 4 so I'd like to get $1000 if I sold them outright. I can take pictures if someone is interested.

And mods...... I posted this locally because I don't want to deal with people from outside the Northwest as I have no intent on travelling or shipping these. Please don't delete me. Slap me on the wrist, fine, but please don't delete.

Sorry can't help except to feel your dilemma. Running with the big boys is going to get expensive! Curious what run or situation led to your conclusion? I'm guessing you tried to follow Greg on 39s somewhere that you couldn't handle. I was pretty happy with the way my jeep handled the trails and kept up with Gary H pretty well, but Bill was recommending a long arm stretch kit at Moon Rocks and wouldn't you know I next tried that ledge that Gary went up at funny rocks and couldn't make it with the short wheelbase. Ended up with rock rash on the bottom of my spare tire carrier....that's a first. I need to do gears before 37s but will be watching what you decide to do. It was great to see you guys this weekend and hope to do it again. BTW did that huge Host camper in your camp belong to Greg? He and I may need to become buddies as it was very similar to my rig, though the F550 is over the top.

X3, I'm definitely wanting to go bigger ... gonna burn down the 35s a bit more, though.

With 37s I'll want to upgrade a bunch of other stuff too... $$$

It's the most expensive 1" of ground clearance you'll gain

The last two times I've been up Aardvark hill I've gotten high centered on a root that is on the lower approach hill. For me to not get high centered I have to go around it to the far right and nearly climb a tree which almost forced a flop the first time I tried it. Then last weekend following an XJ on 35's and another two dr JK on 37's they walked right through it and I did not. Had to scale the tree again. That was just the icing on the cake. I always seem to pancake this thing where others do not. Really I'm just exploring options to get more ground clearance/break over clearance without getting too high in the lift department. I like the ride height but I want 2-3 more inches of breakover clearance.

Not sure which rig you were seeing but I can tell you the only two tent campers there were Jeff with his fam and me and my wife. All the rest have nice setups.

I was referring to the large Host camper on the Ford F550 that was parked right where we stopped to chat with you.

I ran Aardvark for the first time Sat night. The shadows seemed to exaggerate all the obstacles but maybe that made it easier to pick the right line. I was following Gary who got hung up in deep ruts near the top of the left side, so based on his advice over the CB, I backed down and went up the right side without problem. Gary backed down and did the right side also, but the commanche that was with us made it up the left side. That thing was a beast! I don't remember the root you are talking about but it was about 1:00AM and things were begin to blur by then I did high center once briefly, can't remember what part of the trail but I backed up and put left front tire on the obstacle and made it. Good luck on your quest to upgrade.
