Longer arms or longer tools - maybe two people?

hey bro, (OP) first off i would have to say i, hands down, love my PSC bumper...great craftsmanship and solid as a rock..

Ok I was in your boat a few months back, there are a few threads on here and even a Utubevideo out there for install...i have posted install pics in a few places but they are lost in fourms...

First you must install the skid on to the bumper first...has to be done that way. I did find that the two bolts on the corners on left and right where pretty tight due to weld plates there, recommend shaving them down a bit (weld plates not bolts)

Once you have that done, as i am sure you know you need to take down the corners of the crash bar, was easy knocked it out with a grinder...now the only other mod i had to do was wallow out the holes a bit, and the drivers side upper right hole (as you look at the front) needed to be drilled out...not sure why it looks the same..but its not...i dont know the size i just found a bit that fit in the others and ran it in and out of it a bit and wallowed it out like the rest.

I then installed my wench, and new fog lights..i upgraded to the polite 203w (write up is on here somewhere) was an easy and cheep upgrade well worth the 30 bucks and used the factory fog light mount for it. Screwed them in, and wired them up with bumper right next to the jeep.

was a bitch to put on with skid and wench (read F'Balls heavy)..have a buddy on hand...if you dont do wench at the same time..with the skid on you will never get to those holes to install it later and will have to take it off again (which i did due to needing longer bolts for wench then what came with it, just had to get it on for a day to drive home from shop i was working at)

when i got the bumper lined up with bolts, it partly slid on, i sat down and gave it a hell of a kick with both feet right on the areas that the bolts where and bam! it poped on. I am 6 3 and 220lbs so depending on your size give it a few kicks as needed (did same method for PSC rear..lol should be in instructions )

after that i used the factory bolt plates (from stock bumper they are kinda hour glass shaped i bet they fell on the ground when you took off your old bumper)...not sure if they are needed but i figured it would be more solid for wenching or pulling then just the bolt threads and head holding it on. I made sure that the nuts would fully seat with bolt threads sticking out the back...for a full grab on it..if you dont feel them keep tight'n it down or look to shaving the plates down..really want a full thread sticking out if you do it that way.

now how the F'balls do you get to those bolts to tighten them down...i had to use a knuckle and an extension on it. but it can be done...oh and i remember that i installed the nuts on the far side where the disco is by reaching from the drivers side all the way over...but then again i have long arms so it was just right. my buddy couldnt do it...

hum after that i just sat back and drooled over the legit bumper i installed....

Hope this helps, let us know how it went and post up some pics bro!
