Default July 30th: Northridge and Tahuya!

This was mentioned in several threads, but I figured it deserved it's own thread.

Northridge 4x4 is having a big event Saturday July 30th from 9 to 5. We've also been trying to have a big get together for a trail run at Tahuya, so let's combine them.

Not sure what everyone's preference is as far as which to do first, I'm open to votes.

Here's my idea:

We have some folks from Oregon coming up, so the logistics of meeting at some specific time and place might be difficult. So let's meet at the Northridge event, there will be food and a lot of vendors. We hang out and and have some fun, and then some time in the afternoon we take off for Tahuya (about 25 miles, 36 minutes, to the south), and run the trails.

I'm open to suggestions, and I'm willing to provide any maps and/or logistics.

I'll also probably do something similar on the 23rd (Poison Spyder will be at Northridge), if anyone can't make the 30th.

Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity for the NW crew to meet up, see the great facilities at Northridge, and hit some fun trails.

Hope to see you there, and again, I'm open to suggestions as to what works best for everyone.

Tomy

Hey Tommy -

I'm hoping to make one of these events...just not sure which one yet. I was shooting for the 30th, but it looks like it may end up being this weekend the 23rd.

What time are you thinking of jumping on the ferry Saturday morning?

I'm not sure yet, I can let you know this evening. If my wife and kids come, it will tend to be later, say 11:00. If it is just me, it will be earlier.

Looks like I might be able to leave a bit earlier. You guys want to meet up in Seattle before we hit the ferry, or meet at Northridge?

I'm trying to escape a couple pre-arranged things and hope to make it this Saturday. Taking an early Ferry from downtown over to Bremerton sounds like a great idea. Last time we went to Tahuya, we all just met in the parking lot under the 99 viaduct near the ferry terminal, and then caravanned aboard. I think there's an 8:30am Ferry.

If you have a Big 5 Sporting goods nearby, they sell them.
