Default Teach me oh wise one!

Hey guys. (and gals)
I've been on this forum everyday since aug. and this is my first post! (A lot to learn from this forum!) I live in Eugene, by Churchill High School (west part) And I want to go on a weeling trip so bad! The problem is I am inexperienced and quite honestly cant afford to mess up my JK (to bad do to the fact that it is my only means of transport. I'm a total neebie as far as 4-wheeling goes. I love the outside and have seen some sites with my old 4runner but i have no delusions regarding my ability! I hope us lane county JKs have some fun!

A sage like influence would be nice!

Default Given up posting for trips...

I posted for a day trip last weekend up here near the Tillamook State Forest...not a single soul responded. I even PM'd or e-mailed people I could find here on the forum!

Man, that's a bummer! Don't know if you got my e-mail about that run, but I couldn't go that weekend. I saw 1BADJK had also posted about an Oregon run and didn't get much of a response. Sorry I didn't do my part. I really haven't had much time lately to surf these forums... working lot's of hours and studying in the evenings. Haven't wheeled since the last time we went either.

Howdy Folks!

I live in Tualatin and have been enjoying my JK since March. Brown's Camp was the first place I went for the mud bath and we had a great time. Most of the high difficulty trails at Brown's Camp are closed in the winter months. There are several intermediate trails that provide a good experience for beginners and experienced alike.

I also discovered the southern end of the TSF on the Trask River. A lot of good backroad exploring areas and a sweet county run campground on the Trask River where the pavement ends. From the lower(southern) end you are very close to the beach OHV areas if you want to try that. I'm thinking that the campground would be a great staging area for a JK gathering/camping weekend.

Just need to remember to have an OHV permit.

I'll try to stay posted when folks want to go.

FoggyDave

I was heading to the beach yesterday, and there was the browns camp sign.. Looked at my friends and smiled and took that road instead. I have never been out to browns camp before so it was a nice little exploring day It was a lot of fun, but I did find out that I turn into a nervous wreck in tight squeezes I have some getting used to...

Steve and I are up for "mild" four-wheeling. Actually, let me rephrase that... I'm up for mild four-wheeling, he's up for pretty much anything! But if he breaks this brand new Jeep he'll be sleeping on the couch! I REALLY REALLY love this Jeep! In fact, I think it should be MY Jeep...

By the way, we're in Medford.
