looking to get back up to Moon/Funny Rocks on Saturday 9/29. After playing around the rocks, I'd like to see where the other end of 687 connects from the 307. Also explore if 694/670 connect back to Manastash Rd. Will like to leave early, like meet in Enumclaw by 9-9:30am. if you haven't been up on the ridge looking down to Manastash Lake, it is spectacular!

I can't make it out with you on Saturday Gary as I'll be flying all day, but I'm curious which ridge you are referring to. I'm taking someone back out to that area on Sunday and would like to check this out.

Gary, which ridge are you referring to with the view of Manashtash? Is it anywhere near the route we took last weekend?

 

694, from the top of funny rock you head NE over to the trail head that you can walk down into Manastash lake. If you continue on the road it climbs up right there, opes up for a couple minutes of travel and then gets back into the trees. There's a spot as you get back into the trees that you can park out on a rocky outcropping with a great view of the lake.
