Add that to finishing today's project and the rock chip I need to get injected after driving to oly. :-) hahaha only in a jeep, for a jeep, etc!

Here are my pics.
Tyler sizing up the passenger's side.

All the holes drilled.

Passenger side mounted.

Drilling the driver's side after sitting the driver's guard up as a template.

We realized the driver's side was warped. We put it on the press to straighten it out. The issue with brake bent plate is once it bent/warped, it's usually on two planes. We were able to get the front end, against the fender buttoned down. But, as we worked down the tub, the warp showed it's nasty side. Trying to use the nutserts to suck it down closer to the tub was a wash. It pulled a couple of the nutserts loose. There are 3 holes that we talked about. And Tyler will try to work them out. Here's the last pick of the driver's side. Tyler ready to go.

The first 2DR JK I've turned a wrench on. Hopefully not the last.

Thanks again Bob. Had a blast. I have plenty of mods down the road I'll need help with, so at least you will have the same 2dr to work on. ;-) the liquid metal worked well on two of the holes and some stainless self tapping screws worked pretty well. It's pretty solid.
Til next time mah friend!

a quick 2 cents worth for this thread. I just installed a set of side armor on my 09 2 door JK. It's not fun but the armor looks bitchin!
The remorse of drilling into your Wrangler gets easier after the 5th hole. A few tips would be to open the doors and use adjustable wood clamps to hold the armor at the bottom of the door threshold. It works very well to hold the plate steady while you mark for the holes because the armor may not hug the contours and may move if it's being held by a friend. My drivers side plate was not form fitting it kind of bowed a bit which made holding it steady difficult w/o the clamps. Another thing was that the 3/4 in holes were too small for the rivet so i had auger it out which made a few holes a bit uneven. I should have drilled 1 hole and checked the rivet fit before drilling the other 11 holes and moved up a size. And MOST IMPORTANT, is to drill the holes SLOWLY!! the sheet metal is so thin you'll tear it up with a fast spinning bit...trust me. And put some paint in the holes so they don't rust.
As for difficulty, if me and my schmuck brother can do it any body can once you get past the hole drilling freak factor. I also bought the liner for 50 bucks.
Good luck!
