New build
I looked really hard at a 2011, but Jeep isn't offering any money back on them, so you are paying the same price. I didn't want a used jeep because I wanted the shiny new smell, and one of my secret cosmetic upgrades requires a clean body.
Day Zero is almost here....expecting to pick up my block of clay on Monday. Here is a hint, the name of my jeep color was first coined in 1911.

Hmm; does this secret cosmetic upgrades involve a B and end with an E, I have been trying to talk my wife into it for my rig but so far she's not sold to the idea and tells me they are ugly. She will come around
confirmed the loan is funded and driving down to Oregon tomorrow to pick up my new baby... Pics to follow!
As I motor closer to Portland I thought I'd fill in some details and changes about the build.
My first choice was a white '12 sport. I figured this would save money upfront to put into optioning my components the right way, the first time.
Why get a jeep with 44's knowing that sleeves and gussets would be necessary?
Why pay for e lockers when ARB's are cooler?
Why get an e disco sway bar prone to fail at a bad time?
I landed on white because this jeep will see a lot of dd duty visiting clients. I'd love gecko, but it would look corny getting valeted.
As I mentioned previously, it was a good plan. It didn't survive contact with the enemy. I needed an initial mod budget of 15-20k to cover a hemi or to do lift/axles/tcase/wheels/tires. When the bank said no, it left me with a sport incapable of anything fun.
TBC
