My family and I have lived in Greenville, SC, Atlanta, Portland, OR, and Dallas, TX (in the span of six years
) before moving to Seattle. We've been here eight years. We have no plans to ever leave Seattle.
I jeeped in my younger years, and finally back into Jeeps with my new 2011 Black Ops. Not really a video game player, just saw it on the showroom, screaming, "I'm yours, take me home!"
Anyway, I've only done Tahuya so far here in the NW, but looking forward to more.

Thanks its a full leather kit, I took the cloth off and replaced it with this kit you can pm me for details
Definitely a good place to start.
I guess it is like riding a bicycle. I've taken the new Jeep there twice, and now feel as comfortable with it as I did with my old 2dr YJ.
I tend to live a little dangerously, both times I went with just my family, no winch, hi-lift or other Jeepers. First trip some guys in a Toyota pickup were like "Oh man, you don't want to take a new Jeep on this trail," but I didn't really have any problems. Of course, I stayed out of the rock gardens.
I did knock off my steering stabilizer on the second trip. I'll admit negotiating between close trees and big roots is a little different in a 4dr.

A few of us met at the Safeway parking lot in Seattle's Crown Hill neighborhood. We spent some time chatting and checking out each other's rigs, then headed to Goofy's sports bar for a brew and to discuss the need for a trail run, possibly to Tahuya. It was nice to get to know some of the local members and get ideas for future mods. I had to leave early, but enjoyed the visit.
Here are a few photos. I think I got the rigs/names right, but if not, someone please correct me!

Hello Tacoma! I'm Derrick and I'm living in North Tacoma
My Jeep: 2010 Rubicon Unlimited
Red
Snorkel system
-soon to have: 3.5" suspension lift
winch and new front bumper
I'm from the east coast and am looking for some good times on the trails. I'm not afraid to push it to the limit!
I'm in Federal Way with my stocker JKU. I have been trolling around Evan's Creek, but always looking for other spots that are accessible with a stock JKU.
Plus, I'm always looking for someone to hit the trail with. I even have my own retrieval strap
