I'm not bringing my fam, but there's no reason to think this wont be family friendly. I'll keep duct tape handy if they get outta line.

If we're all set on doing the trails I mentioned, then i wouldn't advise the popup camper. the 4W695 is a moderate trail mostly because of one significant hill climb; other than that it is fairly modest. The map shows a fire road that gets closer to camp, and I know where the beginning and the end of that road is, but I've never driven it to see if it is actually not washed out or something. I plan to explore this on this trip so i know better. so i would still advise to tent it, if thats ok.

Gary, we'll definitely do this again. my bball games will be on Sundays this season, so I can head up with you on a friday, and run the loop on saturday, heading back Sat night.

Man, I would go, but I'm on duty Friday and Saturday. Alex, the new Crush looks awesome!! Can't wait to see it in person. You guys should have a great time.

BTW, for those who can't attend, Ronin and I are hitting Evan's on Tuesday.... (just a small hijack)..

All,
Industrial Fire Precaution Level Zone NW-1 will be going to Level 1 and NW-2 & NW-3 will be going to Level 2 effective 01:00 am, Thursday, September 20th. Please distribute this information to all of your operators.

The Non-Industrial Chainsaw waiver and the OHV waiver are now applicable. The OHV trails in the Browns Camp, Jordan Creek, Diamond Mill, and Trask and the trails in the BLM Nestucca Riding Area are OPEN.

Effective 9/20/12 for NW-1:
LEVEL I – Closed Season:
Fire precaution requirements are in effect. A Fire Watch/Security is required at this and all higher levels unless otherwise waived.

Effective 9/20/12 for NW-2 & NW-3:
LEVEL II - Partial Hootowl:
The following may operate only between the hours of 8 P.M. and 1 P.M. local time:
• power saws except at loading sites;
• cable yarding;
• blasting;
• welding or cutting of metal.

Fire watch waiver is still in effect:
IFPL 1 = I hour
IFPL 2 = 2 hours
IFPL 3 = 3 hours
IFPL 4 = Shutdown

Alex, are you sure you don't want to change this back to TFS? if you're coming back home anyway, driving out to the rocks is about 3 hours, and TFS can't be more than 4.
