PNWJeep Meet-n-Greet trail run - Friday night
for those going to Naches 9/7-9/9 for the PNWJeep event at Longmire meadows, I thought I’d put feelers out there for organizing some trail runs. This thread is for Friday night.
I'll start with what I’d like to do and others are welcome to make suggestions. How about a Ravens Roost run(Ravens Roost Trail)! 4W900
I've never done it (day or night) so it'll be the blind leading the blind in the dark. how much better can it get?!?!?! this looks like a pretty long trail; nwjeepn says 2 hours one way, but we can come back on the fire road and there are multiple connections to the fire road if we need to bail before making the end due to time. I was thinking leave camp around 6pm.
***Final update***
OK, there have been a few folks signed up here and with me separately. We'll meet at 6pm at the entrance of the Long Meadow campground.

Gary. Ravens roost is a great run for watching the sunset at the top. If all of my group gets to camp in time Friday I plan to make this run. Although I'll probably head up at 6ish so we have plenty of time. The sunset should be about 7:40.
that's a good idea, Mark. My plan is to get there early enough so hopefully traffic isn't a killer getting out of town like it was last year. I'll join in on that if i can get there.
I read the info (thanks Gary), it seems that I could pull this off by avoiding the mud holes. You guys have any experience on this trail? It sounds like a kick in the pants, I might have to join in on this
