Took me a couple of days to get to the point where I could even comprehend what happened.
Damn disappointing way to end the season.
A slant on a goal line with a short clock and everything at stake?
REALLY?
A slant with 1 time out (don't get me started on clock management, the Seahawks are GREAT team with lousy clock management) , 2nd and goal?!
I can understand a play action pass or even a roll out sprint-fade, but a ****ING SLANT ON THE 1 YARD LINE?
Lynch was on fire, 21 for 102.
I think he would have got the job done, but a SAFE, LOW RISK, free pass play with 2 more downs I can understand.
BUT A 2 YARD ****ING SLANT AGAINST A GOAL LINE RUN DEFENSE?!!???
OK... its over.
They take chances.
Sometimes it pays off.
Sometimes it costs you a HISTORIC WIN!!!!
They had a good game, Wilson was epic, the last play was a mistake, but overall it was a good (almost great) season.
Brady had a fantastic game.
I'm not really a fan of his, but you cant take anything away from his ability to lead a football team.
Gronk overmatched KJ on a few key plays, not an easy thing to do, KJ is the real deal.
The fast agile recievers did a nice job of getting yards after the catch.
Browner and Butler were able to lure Seattle into a play.
Butler made a fantastic jump on the ball.
They were 100% healthy.
Lockette should have covered, Kearse should have shaken the press..
HELL MARSHAWN SHOULD HAVE RUN OFF THE LEFT TACKLE!!!
Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
Congrats to the Pats.
No excuses, the Seahawks had ample opportunities to win this game and didn't.
The fact remains that we are an overall more talented team. (when healthy)
Grab a pats fan or football nut and I'll argue the Seahawks at nearly every position group. (OK an argument can be made for Brady at QB, I'll keep Wilson thank you, and Gronk is head and shoulders above anyone we fielded at TE, we RUN block well, the majority of our receivers are pedestrian, other than that, gloves on ****er, the Seahawks are just more talented)
The O line looked really good at pass blocking for a change.
Lynch was sublime.
Wilson was awesome.
Nearly 400 yrds total O
BUT, unfortunately the defense was subpar (other than Sherman, Bennett and Wagner who all played well).
The tackling was the worst its been all year, the coverage was sloppy when it mattered most.
Allowing 2 tds in the 4th is uncharacteristic and probably due to the necessity of moving Maxwell inside.
They couldn't run the ball, but we allowed way to many yards after contact and missed on a couple of 3rd and longs we should have managed.
To be fair our defense was decimated by injuries and obviously not hitting on all cylinders.
It showed.
Chancellor hip AND MCL, Lane Broken wrist. Aviril Concussion, Sherman elbow, Thomas shoulder, not to mention Hill and Mebane.
Don't despair, with the talent of our team, coaches and the guys we have already locked up barring injuries we will make the playoffs again next year.
Then?
Who knows.
Notes to the Hawks, you really, really, REALLY need a legitimate post/fly route threat receiver.
Baldwin is a journeyman SLOT receiver and he is BY FAR our best receiver.
GET LYNCH BACK ON THE FIELD.
Figure out a left tackle and a tight end, and we will see next year!
GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!

An argument?
Anything?
I can trade sports fandom jabs with an intelligent adversary, hell even a dumb adversary.
But banal chatter?
You sir are on your own.

What u get is what you get.
1. An observation that this thread is still alive after so long.
I'm one of many avid Seahawks fans in the WA region.
Duh.
The troll (minor) that posted wasn't up to the debate.
2. My opinion of your favorite football team.
My team is better than your team.
