I think there is a decent OHV at Riverside on the Eastside of Spokane. Not sure if I have the name correct. Google ohv in Spokane and it will come up.

Actually it's on the NW side of Spokane and consists of 600 acres of just about everything you'd want for off-roading - except there's no wet creek to cross (it's been dry ever since they put the fence up - go figure!!!).

Unfortunately other than the Riverside State Park ORV Area and the Colville National Forest (north of Kettle Falls on US Hwy 395), you have to go into Idaho for off-roading. In Idaho there's a lot of trails to ride!

However, the Idaho Panhandle National Forest is currently going through the Travel Management Plan (TMP) process and you need to have copies of their TMP maps to ensure you are on a legal road. (also need to have the Colville NF TMP maps which are available at the BLM Map Room in Spokane at 1103 North Fancher Road; the maps are free!) It will also help to have a copy of the individual NF Visitor Map. Unfortunately they are not free, but you can get copies of any of the PNW National Forest maps from NW Maps in Spokane. You can order them online also.

You can get online copies of both NF TMP maps.

If you need more information, you can PM me. I am involved with the Colville NF and their TMP process and other issues concerning OHV travel. It's a process EVERYONE needs to be involved in otherwise we will loose access!

Great. Thanks for the update. I have friends and family in the area and will get back up there later this summer.
