That sucks man, damn thieves. Like everyone else said, locking lug nuts. I've got some; cheap, easy, and they get the job done.

All. Mdash I'm picking up a matching spare. The rim worried me but found one on Craigslist on the cheap down in Enumclaw. Picked up some locking lugs as well and thanks for the bike lock idea as well will lock the wheel to the rim. I'm doing that too.

locking lugs are pretty easy to get off without the key. Don't count on them alone if you park outside at night.

I always got away with just a bike lock looped through my spare... not to say it couldn't have been removed, but it should definitely be a visual deterrent. Sucks that people feel the need to gank other people's hard earned stuff.
