Hey folks,

We've got an '08 4dr Rubicon. With an auto. The missus wants a lift, and is not sure about getting in it afterwards, she's 5'2" tall. Does anyone in this area have a Jk 4dr with 35's? 37's? And want to let her climb in it? I don't want to do anything that will deter her from driving it. We are in the Hawks Prairie area. We'll drive to where you are, or meet somewhere in the middle.

Thanks!

Bob K.

does her rig have rock rails yet?

if not you might think about a type with enough of a step on them for her to use to get in easyer.

Yes, it has the stock Rubicon rails on it right now. Fabrication may be in order.

I've got 35's and a 4" lift on mine. I'm 6'1" and even I have to "hop" up into the rig. Wife is about 5'9" and has to hop up and pull herself a bit with one of the grab handles. Your wife would definitely need some sort of step!

Good info! I'm 5'9" and she's 5'2". I know I'll have to work something out for her.

yeah you should get some kind of step for her especially with the amount of lift you will have for 35's or 37's....i have a 3.5in lift on 33's and i used to have to kinda hop into mine before i got some sidesteps im 5'10. i would look at a set of rock sliders that have rockerguards that stick out enough to step on

Can't be of to much help to you for now with letting her try out getting in, my lift and tires are sitting in the garage waiting for me to get home and install, some sort of a step is probably in order. I got a set of the Rugged Ridge side armor bars. Some on here don't like the fact that they hang a little low, and they stick out a little further than some others, but thats exactly why I went with them. So the wife and kids can get in and out on their own.
