Tahuya Run
There's a small community just north of Cle Elum called Liberty. If you take 90 to 970 then to 97 you will enter the town. There's a small coffee shop I think called Liberty Cafe or something on the left as you enter. After you pass that Cafe the first main street where you can make a right will open you up to all the Forest roads. They have some good views up there and snow. I went last weekend had to get up to about 4000' elevation to really get into it but this week its supposed to snow. Here's some pictures from the day to give you an idea of the snow and area:
Last minute run on Sunday the 4th. Will meet at the trail head at 10:00 am and head. This run will also have a chance to check recovery skills and equipment. If you have and question post or leave a message with me. It is calling for rain so mud is looking good.
Das Mule is having a grand opening today beside the XXX today if you are in the issaquah area! I am impressed with what overland items they have so if you have a chance stop by.
Hey WOG, I think I ran into you at Carls on the way out. I was driving the Anvil Rubicon. Anyway, will check this post regularly for trips out this way. Tahuya was pretty decent despite all the rain.
I remember that, we have a club now and we are going to be accepting members, we will be doing a beginner run on the 29th, let me know if you can make it. Stuart (General) and I will be leading out about 10 people depending of peoples interest. It will also include some recovery work! Hope to see you out there.
Here are a few pics from Sundays trip out to tahuya.
