Washington Jeepin' People
Welcome SeaBear. JKKAT, cmyjeep, and jkgirl seem to have Reiter and Tahuya runs often (as well as some others). They are good peeps and we all welcome you to the area. Hope to see you around.
I'm back from a 4month work bender. I'd love to do Reiter sometime - funny thing is I've lived here my whole life and never been there. We've always wheeled Naches, Eastern Washington, east King County and Greenwater. I like trail wheeling- not much for tipping over or big rocks as I've got a nice rig and don't want to bust it up-well at least not much.
I'll watch this post for a run to Reiter and chime in when you folks start talking about it. Great to see NW people talkin' Jeepin'

Any time you are heading over towards Eastern WA or northern ID, shoot me an e-mail ahead of time and let's wheel together.
I know of 5 approved 4x4 trails in the Colville NF (northwest of Kettle Falls) and some in northern Idaho panhandle.

I am a first time Jeep owner but long time 4WD owner. My new wrangler is a Steel Blue 2008 Rubicon. I have started some basic modifications and plan on a couple more. Now if I can just get up the courage to put on the Wood's Evap Relocation Kit that has been sitting on my counter for almost a month!
As for where I "wheel", I have to admit I have not been off-road yet in my Rubicon. I moved here to Washington 8 years ago but until retirement (3 years ago) I worked, and worked... Since retirement I have gotten pretty envolved with the off-road motorcycle community (President of the Cascade Family Motorcycle Club - CFMC and Treasurer of the Northwest Motorcycle Association - NMA). So I have ridden at Capitol Forest and Tahuya Forrest quite a bit and a little over in Naches and Tatem. I am now looking forward to doing some trail riding in my new jeep.
Thanks to all of you who are part of this forum. I have learned a ton and I look forward to seeing some of you on the trails.
