I've had the freedom top off a bunch already this year and the doors a couple of times. Finally pulled the top off Saturday.

I put together a sling using parts from harbour Freight and garage made brackets; took the top off and drove to Long Beach WA for mothers day. Longest I have ever had the top off, it was great!

Topless in SoCal. The sunny 80s are here for the summer. Got the new spiderweb shade top. Perfect fit. Stays on under the soft top. That is if I ever have to put it on.

The soft top was a bitch to install. Maybe because it's brand new, but took me about 2 hours between stretches, curses and other stuff until it was on.

One question about setting the soft top up. The instructions say to put the windows before latching the front header.

There was no way I could install the windows before latching the header first. I mean, that part that goes around the door surround would simply not reach that groove where it's supposed to anchor to. However, after I latched the front it went a lot easier.

Do you guys also have the same problem?

Another question. Do you wrap the windows or just lay them flat against some flat surface (back seat's back, etc)?

Nonetheless. First time I rode my Jeep without the top. Simply awesome. :-)

I have a TJ, but Im sure its the same setup. For mine, I latch the front down first then put the windows in. Not sure how you would be able to put the windows in before its tight.

If youre asking about storing the windows or taking them out, I usually lay them flat somewhere. I only roll up the back window. If you roll it up to much and lay stuff on top of it, it can crease it.
