Default Big Bear Jeep Jamboree 2015 - by Rebel Off Road

If you're a Southern California native, you've undoubtedly visited Big Bear Lake at least once. At around 7000ft in elevation, Big Bear offers clean mountain air, clear blue lakes, hiking trails, and resort-class slopes during the winter. However, this weekend getaway also harbors a hidden gem for those who seek adventure on four wheels. Big Bear Lake, and the surrounding San Bernardino National Forest hosts a network of 4WD trails that offer excitement and adventure for wheelers of every level, from simple fire roads to black diamond rock crawler trails.

Jeep Jamboree hosts a run in Big Bear each year, and being a National Sponsor, and located just 2 hours from Big Bear, we attend each year. We headed up the mountain this weekend with 8 Rebelcons, Super Rebel, and the Rebel BFT Trailer.
Then on Friday, we got an unexpected surprise. A localized storm blew through SoCal, and brought the temps down far enough to leave about 6-8 inches of snow on the ground overnight! The snow on the ground made Friday's trails difficult and exciting all at the same time.
Saturday, we had all 8 Rebelcons dispersed throughout John Bull, Gold Mountain, and Onyx Summit, so you were bound to run into one of us. Red Group was even joined by none other than Casey Currie himself, driving his JKU. All went well on the trails, and a Prime Rib dinner, generously prepared by the Elks Lodge kitchen staff, awaited all the participants when we got back to the Jamboree HQ. During the raffle, participants got a chance to win many prizes ranging from a Superwinch, LLC winch, a set of Falken Tires, an sPOD system, SpiderWebShade products, JKS Manufacturing products, tons of gift cards, and much more.

We'd like to personally thank Jeep Jamboree USA for another successful Big Bear trip. We'd like to thank all the trail guides that got the 270 participants through the trails and back safely. We'd also like to thank the Elk Lodge for hosting us once again as they provided excellent service to a crowd that was much larger than years past. Last, but certainly not least, we'd like to thank all of the participants this year for making us who we are. We met many new faces, and reminisced with familiar ones; it's always a blast to be on the trail with you guys. You make us feel like rock stars up there, and without Jeep enthusiasts like yourselves, Rebel Off Road wouldn't be the ever growing company it is today.

Until next year - safe trails!
