Default The King’s New Hammer

Loren Healy won the 2014 King of the Hammers with an old rig. Now it is time for some new innovation. His plan was to debut it at Round 1 of the Ultra4 Western Series, but the truck wasn't ready. On July 12th, his new ride made its debut at the 4 Wheel Parts Glen Helen Grand Prix and made an impact. Let’s take a quick look into the new Hammer.

I was at this race in Glen Helen... as MARTZ said, its a go fast car. Might be some major changes for a rock course.

My kid was pissed though.... all morning he was watching YouTube videos of Ultra4 and decided his car was the "red jeep." So I told him that the "red jeep" would likely be out racing that day... he was so excited. Then... there was no red jeep. Now he wants mine red!?!?!

The race would have been closer, but Levi lost a tire near the beginning of the second to last lap.

how do you not burn your arm off with the exhaust IN THE CAB? I mean theres threads on this very forming complaining about underinsulated floor panels causing hot foot through the carpet, and thats a NEKKID manifold inches away!

That makes sense. It was odd seeing so many co-pilots on a course such as this... extra unnecessary weight.

Lol agreed! that course had no need for a co pilot.

but looks like his old solid axle car is for sale on pirate now...either planning to run his ifs car in the rocks with no co pilot which baffles me for say a koh race or he will be building a new solid axle....
