Don't go cheap or tire mounted. Go visit your local bike shop or check out Thule.com

Thule is $$$, but I have only bought 1 rack in the last 12 years...

You gents are missing his point.. He only expects to use it one time. Buying a Thule rack means spending a lot of money for a single use.

My regards,

Go with the $100 (or less) spare tire one. Mine is a hand-me-down thule, I think... Does the job and hasn't damaged my spare at all.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to go with the Allen Deluxe 3-Bike Spare Tire Mount Rack. With a coupon I have for Amazon I can get it for $52 delivered. I'm only using it once a year to haul two bikes up to Burningman. Yep, I'm one of those crazies Thanks again.

HI.. Just got one from harbor freight store for $30 .. Did you have to get a hitch receiver extension because of the spare tire in the back on the way? I tried on mine and it gets pretty tight fit with the tire just worried it might damage the spare if bar on the rack constantly keeps rubbing on the tire..

Mounted the rack this past saturday........Forgot about the 33" spare on the back. the rack needed to be modified with a section of 2" material about 6 " long.. worked great after that.

Do you have the picture of the modified rack? Can you post it or PM ..I'd like to do the same.. for now I bought the 12" hitch receiver extension from harbor freight that works..it's just too long.. What did you use to modify where did you get it from part # etc.. Thanks..

update: found a 6" hitch adapter from harbor freight $10 (1 3/4 to 2") fit perfectly.
