and i really like how this one turned out...

 

a few pages back i posted photos of a pond i built for my mom and dad. i also said that i liked this time of year when the wild life moves in or pokes its head out to see whats happening. well this is the first considerable wildlife i've seen yet. a new family of garter snakes. here is mom and 1 baby. the rest are hiding under the pond liner.

 

A word of caution -

The posting of copyrighted images belonging to someone else is not legal and puts this forum at risk. I don't want to be a jerk but it is disturbing for a professional photographer to see his/her work displayed without their knowledge and most likely without compensation. It quite literally is stealing.

As someone who sells my photographs on occasion, I am sensitive to this. I hope you understand.

 

X2! Just because it is online does not mean it is free for the taking.

 

One of my favorite jumps and pics. Backflips out of a plane at 10,000 feet is one of the coolest things I have ever done.

 

And I thought the whole point of this thread was to post OUR OWN pictures, not someone else's? Kinda takes the fun out of it if we have to "compete" (I know it's not competition) with professional photographs taken by non members. Not to mention the theft issue........

Not as far as I know. Some of us just wanted to point out that this thread was intended to share our own photographs and that posting someone else's images is the wrong thing to do. Near as I can tell, at least 3 of us have photography businesses and are very sensitive regarding the posting of copyrighted images.
