You might be able to find some military looking wheels..Some of the Japanese makers made some hummers...

Ended up stripping something in the rear axle...worm gear I'm guessing. So it's currently down on parts order. Will also be ordering either a Hilux 4DR body or a Nissan hard body for it soon. Tried stripping the paint form the stock body and obviously it didn't work out too well. Used some old Nitro fuel I had.....not a great idea.

Nice! I love my Losi trekker.

Started mostly stock, slight trimming, etc. swapped the trekker tires for mcrc tires and narrowed the rear body.

I switched to the Baja claws, but I just wasn't happy with the stock chassis and body, so I've been working an a pure buggy style scale(ish) tube chassis that is still in progress.

Oh yeah...pretty sure I recognize those pics from rc crawler.com. I'm Sh0rtBus over there....and everywhere other jeep forum too.

I'm about to do some serious upgrades to my Wraith. Mamba Max Pro esc, Tekin Pro 4 3300kv sensored motor, Robinson Racing trans gears, MIP drive shafts, beef tubes, Grip fab lockers... quite a bit of stuff. Still waiting on Jim (fungi) to release his Spectre chassis so I can convert my McRC to that too. May smash a set of his wheels too if he ever gets it all worked out.

Oh no doubt I could find some Tamiya HMMWV 1.9s easy enough, but I want the OEM H3 wheels, or something close to it.

I had a company offer to make me a set of 5, CAD'd and CNC'd for $550. I was broke back then but now it's a bit more tempting.

When I build a scaler I generally try to go close to stock. I'm building a JK now that I'm hoping will have a somewhat stock stance when done.

Having worked with 3d printers a bit in college, he's going to have a hell of a time getting the cost down unless material prices have come down.

I do love his chassis tho, I just got tired of waiting. I'm pretty happy with how it's coming together and should be a big improvement over what it was.
