What set up are you running for Axial Jeep

Getting the Axial Jeep kit and wanted to know what motor and ESC you guys are running and how they perform.

Tekin fxr and a 35 t motor. Preferably a holmes hobbies motor.
Have burned up 3 castles in the last few years.
Have never had a problem with the Tekins. Have some that are over 6 years old and stil working great.

I haven't had any problems with my castle stuff but a lot of others have. Talking with guys that run Tekin, they all seem to love it. My future builds will include Tekin.

Holmes motors are the way to go and I agree with a 35 turn.

This is the part i'm still learning.Would a 55t motor be better than a 35t for crawling? Please educate the newbie

Depends on what you will be doing a 35T will be a good all around motor for crawling and speed. A 55 turn will be great for crawling but will run out of rpms quickly so speed will be limited. You'll have tons of torque though.

I like my 55t. If you are running more scale and with a group maybe a 35 but my 55 hasn't failed me yet

A 35 would give you a little more wheelspeed.
Also depends on what battery setup you run. A 55 on 3s would be close to a 35 on 2s in regards to wheelspeed.
Torque would also come into factor.
The torque masters from holmes hobbies are great motors.

I'm probably gonna get the following:

ESC
Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro 1/10 Brushless ESC with SMARTSENSE
OR
Tekin RS Pro Sensored Brushless ESC

Motor
Tekin ROC 412 4-Pole Sensored Brushless Rock Crawler Motor (3100kV)
OR
Tekin FXR 35T
