Default Idiot Check Me

I've done the reading, but I just need a little affirmation from the forum that I haven't missed anything. I'll be installing the week after Thankgiving, so I still have a little time to get anything else I may be needing.

2009 Rubi Unlimited
I will be running 35/12.50s

Here's what I have:
- TF 2.5" coil lift with shock adapters
- TF front and rear adj. track bars
- TF wheel spacers for my 5" backspace wheels (may not use these, but have them in case I want/need to use em)
- Superchips Flashpaq for tpms and speedometer

I'm going to check the road manners to decide if I need/want adj. from lca's and am looking at tire carrier bumpers.

Anything else that I may be totally missing here?

If you don't want ANY rubbing issues at ALL a 1" body lift wouldn't hurt, or you could trim the stock fenders. Other than that, it looks good to me.

You lift gonna be a bit higher than 3"....with 35" tires Adj. front lower arms is a must because you will need a caster of minimum 5 deg.

-If you have an auto transmission, your front driveshaft may rub your transmission skidplate at full droop. Your rear driveshaft should be fine.

I would not say that they are a "must". There are certainly people that run lifts around that height without addressing their caster. Either front uppers or front lowers will do the job. Factory caster is actually 4.2 degrees. While many people run lifted rigs with caster set to 6 degrees or even a bit more, I've found that 4.2 degrees works just fine on my JK Unlimited with an OME lift.

If your just interested in adjusting tire size to correct spedometer and TPMS then get the AEV procal module. Much more cost effective.

You may want longer sway bar links and brake line re-location brackets and a Woods front drive shaft, if you plan on going wheelin?

Just get the stuff you listed and run it and see if YOUR happy with it. I don't see you having a prob with what you listed. Always time for upgrades and such.

Doesn't the TF kit come with these? I'm pretty sure it does.

As for front LCAs: Sure, you can put those off--no problem, really. But, unless you're comfortable with the feeling of driving on ice, you're going to want to do something about the steering eventually.

Thanks to each of you. Sounds like I haven't left anything critical out for now. The front shaft along with the road manners due to caster are on my list to keep the closest eye on for the first few months.

As for rubbing issues, I'm not very concerned with that for now because it's one of those paved road only Jeeps for the forseeable future. I use my old ZJ for the little off roading that I do. Looking for a WJ to replace that one.
