I'm hunting my way across the country, and would like to spend a day or so touring through Nevada. Not much time, I know. I am going from Blackfoot Idaho to Reno. Can you guys recommend any areas in north Nevada, to Reno, or even eastern California where I could do some light offloading, hiking, and camp for the night?

 

Around right now most the place near Reno have lots of snow. You can camp & hike towards the elko area in lamoille canyon & all around elko there's offroading areas
