I pulled some guy out at Lake Mead once, and he said, "I knew I shoulda bought a hummer."

I had the top off but doors on...I figured I'd just say "ya" and smile vs. getting into a discussion about it.

Just me & the FJ on this one.
G-wagon cancelled and couldn't convince my buddy to bring his XJ out.

I don't mind running easy trails. I use my jeep for more than just rock crawling. If all I wanted to do was just rock crawl I would have spent the $30K on building a buggy. I just don't see why I should have to pay an extra $5 just so I can hang out with them. I did a run with them back in 2008 to Bitter Springs. I had to sign a waiver and everything. It just rubbed me the wrong way. No offense against them.

BTW I ran this last weekend after the Copper Cache run and the water level is pretty high. There's still some room down there. Just not as much as the last time we all went there.

Are you sure about Aztec Wash being the same as gold mine Randy? On the topo map, Aztec Wash is the last section of the Electric Ave (aka Powerline Wash Road) trail as it flows into the lake. Maybe Aztec wash extends upward and becomes what is Gold Mine????

That one was Burro Wash. You mean the one where Roger (Dodge Ram) along with Rodger and Justin where playing in the mud right?

Ya...I don't mind the $5 and the waiver because it's total b.s. anyway. Just makes them feel better about it. The trail boss' wife works in our mail room and I see her every day, so I like to make an appearance once in a while. Good little run for kid and gf to be on.

Ya, that was the one I was thinking...we took Electric Ave to Burrow Wash right? Guess it's just where you head when you get to the bottom of the switchbacks...we'll see. Will be a nice day for pics.

Yeah I'm a cheap bastard! They seem like a good group and I don't think it's fair that they get criticized by some for not running anything more than a 2.0 or 2.5.

Burro Wash is in a totally different area than Electric Ave. Burro Wash starts off in Boulder City and Electric Ave is south of Nelson. Either way it should be a great day to be on the trail.

Didn't miss much today...was about 20+ rigs that showed up and it was a loooong sloooow trip down the hill to the wash. Ended up leaving shortly after arriving at the wash.
