Default Need HELP asap in lake Tahoe!!!!!!!

2012 jku will not start. Not battery or starter. Mysterious red light came on above the oil
Temp gauge and now nothing. AAA towed it to the cabin we rented. What a way to start a family vacation. Security/anti theft issue? Anybody around south lake to help me out? Just off ski run bvld. Very disappointed in my first jeep to say the least. 3000 miles......
Thanks

You can try to start it in neutral opposed to park to see if it was an issue with the shifter (if an Automatic) otherwise, maybe unhook the battery for a few minutes, then hook it back up and try again. Others may have more suggestions.

That's what I do when mine does the very same thing. 10mm wrench. Loosen the neg cable turn key on then hook up the neg cable. Horn should honk. Let us know.

It worked! no horn honk but light is off and she's purring like a kitten. BIG thanks to you all. I love this forum. You saved our vacation. I will still let the dealership service dept. know upon returning home though. Got to figure out why it did this..

Mine does it once in awhile. Unless the stealership can duplicate it the part changers won't have a clue. Glad your up again. Have a fun vacation.
