So now the trails will be marked. Where do you suppose that money will come from? And now there will be a committee. Their salaries will also have to be paid somehow. I can see there being a future fee involved with this. Is the BLM is thinking of closing this area? If that is the case then yes I can see the point of turning it over to the county to maintain it.
Your last point is exactly why I filled it out. I'd rather see it become a maintained and regulated are than to be closed off because of the friggin air quality board here...did someone forget to tell them we live in a desert? The wind blows around the dust regardless of my tires rolling over it.

The thing I like that doesn't really appeal to Jeepers is that there has been some talk of build a couple motocross and supercross tracks out there as well as restroom facilities and a paved parking lot. The place is a blast to ride on a dirtbike, but since there are so many peope and no rules, it is actually pretty dangerous. People ride quads without helmets and crash them, hurting themselves. When I was out there last some idiot on a quad ran me off the trail on a steep downhill because he wanted to go up and didn't want to wait until I got to the bottom.

I see both of your points. I just hope they don't overregulate it. It would be nice if they established some trails. I've only been twice and I have no idea where to go when I'm there. I find that to be part of the fun just being able to explore without restrictions. You have to be a good judge though on what trail or climb is more geared for ATVs/ATCs and what's better for a jeep or similar offroad vehicle. There is a nice mini-canyon in there with some rocks and ledges that I know jeepers have been on before. I also hope like hell they won't charge a fee. If there's one thing I hate it's having to pay extra to offroad in my already expensive vehicle/hobby. There are plently of FREE trails out there that there would have to be a really good reason to pay to offroad at Nellis dunes.

With all this being said I have filled out my form as well.
