Default Potato Ridge - Stock Jeep

Is Potato Ridge doable in a stock 2012 Unlimted? I went in through the Red Rock entrance yesterday and got to the switchbacks. Nothing too stressful but decided to turn back.

Just curious if I can make it through with no damage by myself.

Thanks

Yeah you should be fine if you stick to the main road, don't wander into the washes after you hit the top and are heading into Lovell canyon or you will get lightened up underneath... We just did it Thursday night and the rain has done a number on the trail. but two Liberties made it through... Pure pressure

If you start Potato Ridge in Red Rock and head towards Lovell Canyon Rd, you can at least go up 3 miles from pavement. At 3 miles, there is a huge pine tree on the left and part of a fence, that is where I stop and check out the creek with my girls. You can turn around on the trail there (many back and forths), then head back down.

For the record I got all the way through to Lovell Canyon Road from the Red Rock entrance in a stock JKu. I would not recommend attempting this trail stock and I will not be doing it again without at least another Jeep with me.

Ford Raptor got stuck about 3 feet into the rough part :-)

We were up their around the 4th of July. I would not recommend a stock JKU. A two door would have a tough time. But the unlimited will result in side damage.

I did it stock in a snow storm. More pure pressure. Stick to the bypasses and roll with a good spotter. Better yet, get one of the War Machines to show you the way.
