Vegas Trails
Well, don't think i ready for any faint of heart rides yet, i wanna go a few months without any dings or scratches. Never had a 4 wheel vehicle and just want to learn how to drive it properly. I'm sure it's commen since stuff here but there's always better and safter ways to things.
By the way, any rock climbers here!!

Wheeler Pass or Bitter Springs?
Wheeler might have some snow...
I've yet to do either, and I hear they're both easy scenic trails. Good for night run.
When? I'm better for a weekday night run next Mon-Wed...my son will be visiting his mom that week. I can be out late.

Mark you were not there or do you even have the details on what actually happen. Get over your awesomeness and mad rock crawling skills. Let someone have fun. 2nd hand info is not even worth mentioning. Maybe you should get your jeep up and wheel. Let everyone else who has one enjoy them.

There is LV wash right next to my house on the north side if you just want to play in the dirt. We are taking an overnight trip to the north rim of the Grand Canyon right around xmas. Lots of scenic driving, nothing too technical depending on the routes I choose.
I really feel once you get that jeep on a trail and do some real hard lines you may just be humbled down a bit, guess you never wheeled a cj5 or cj7. I have, you have alot to learn. Those are not anything like any of us drive. You will not be so happy with what you have once you see what its really like
You know you have alot of input. Maybe to much.... fix your pile and then show us what you talk. The pathy never did anything we do. It followed well on the trail but once again you watched as the jeeps did the big stuff. Iam not trying to be a dick but all your yak yak is bringing the others here tl not want to go out. You know as well as I do. There is always a pass line..... that's mostly where you went. Granted you did some good stuff for what you drove. Give someone else a chance and just fix your stuff.

In my opinion the evap canister was a oversight by Jeep. It seems pretty common to tear it off which is why there are numerous relocation kits and skids. Yes I lost mine, yes I was climbing rocks and at the time I lost it Roger was not spotting me. Roger started to spot me up the second waterfall when we noticed it was hanging on. We re-attached and finished the trail. Next we did gold mine in the dark and rain. I got to a waterfall and could not get traction. It had nothing to do with spotting. I was sliding all over the place. Eventually I made it up. The next day I saw the evap was missing. Roger volunteered to go back with me to look for it and we could not find it.
Again in my opinion Roger is correct about listening to your spotter and picking the right lines. Last weekend I watched Randy spot a stock 10 Rubicon through tie rod with only skid plate and rock sliders scratches.
We are all here to wheel and learn. Everyone knows their limits and like Roger said most trails have by passes.
