Default Bumpstop options?

So I put a Teraflex 2.5 BB on my rubi, and the extended front bumpstops are too long. I think they're intended more for keeping 35's from rubbing the fenders, but I'm running 33-12.5's, and it hit the bumpstops with about 2.5 inches of clearance still up in the fenders. Seriously limiting my flex.

So I tried cutting some rubber off the stock bumpstops (the part that sits inside Teraflex's extensions) and that gained me about an inch of uptravel, but I still need maybe 1.5" more.

Are there any other options? Does anyone make a one-piece bumpstop like the stock ones, but just an inch longer? I can't find anything on any of the vendors' sites.

Be careful how much you cut because you are using a budget boost, not longer coils. The bumpstops are designed to keep your coils from sliding off the BB or the BB from falling out due to too much flex.

I have a 2" budget boost with longer bumpstops. I know it may seem like your flex isn't alot but I bet you you are getting a good amount for the type of wheeling a BB should be receiving.

My advice is don't cut your bumpstops anymore and understand their purpose with a BB, or get longer coils with perhaps spring retainers if you want more flex.

Default Use the stock bumpstops?

Have you tries using the stock bumpstops instead? You could put them on and recheck your flex and clearance. It may be a dumb idea, but it sounds reasonable to me. My 2.5" lift didn't even come with new bumpstops.

I'm not sure they count the same as the behemoths on some kits, but yes they do have a little bumpstop on the shock.
