Look at the Avenger. It's more approriate to our use as it is a screw type blower and makes power were we need it. I have driven both the Avenger and Ripp and was far more impressed with the Avenger. Ripp has a larger installed base and claims to be the more refined product but driving both virtually back to back will disabuse you of that claim. If Jack, the owner of Avenger, was as good promoter and more computer savvy and a forum particpaant he'd have a lot more units out there.
Having said that I'm not going to go with a blower; the cost is too much relative to the modest increase in performance. Having wrenched in the past I can do a Hemi swap myself and think I can do it for about 9000. Thats only 3500 bucks more than a blower if you do the labor on the blower yourself. Dyno numbers are funny - the real world difference between a blower and a Hemi is HUGE. If a blower were 2500 or so it might be worth it - but not anywhere near 5000.

To me, it's not comparing the supercharger with the HEMI. It's comparing the supercharger with the money spent. For "ME" it's just not a fair trade off paying 5K for the amount of horse power increase a blower involves. Now, if we were talking about a hotrod with a 6-71 stickin through the hood, then there's an entirely seperate issue involved. Looks. Nothin looks cooler than a big blower pokin through the hood, but that's not what we're talkin about here. ......and I'm not knockin ANY of the supercharger makers on this. For"ME" personally, a blower is not an option simply because of the cost restrictions. I could spend 5K on other stuff over time and make my Jeep shag nasty without the blower.

i'm with you on the suitable work space, sounds like you can do the s/c in the driveway, can't see a hemi swap in the driveway, but i guess anything is possible
