Train horn question
Check out hornblasters dot com.
I've thought about doing this too, just for the novelty factor and something extra to play around with, but I always find more functional mods to spend the money on instead (and my wife says I'd be the biggest dork on the planet if I got one).
A lot of guys might make fun of you for being a mall crawler for wanting one, though.

FYI, real train horns are heavy, need tons of air to operate, are loud enough to damage your hearing, and likely longer than the hood on our JKs.
I watched one go by on eBay a few years back. It went for like $500. Still...If I could get one, I might try it.
On a still night we can hear the horns at the Montana Rail Link yard. It's 15 miles away.
That being said,JCwhitney sells a selection of compact "train horns" both air and electric powered, at reasonable prices.

I was in the wife's LJ today and we pulled up at a local coffe shop drive through. There was a sign on the window that said to honk your horn cause their buzzer was broke. They're gonna catch hell later this week when I roll up in the JK.

Haha, I love my FE horn! It's 24" Grover, got a 6gal tank and compressor hooked/ strapped in the rear. All can be quick disco'd whenever I need space.
Made a custum bracket outta aluminum to mount it. The tanks sits perfectly behind my toolbox.

At that time I ran them to the LATCH hooks for kiddie car seats cause I didn't fold them down. Now I have two eye bolts run though the body on either side with a rachet strap run through the loop type brackets I put on the box. With the rubber straps it used to slide abit, now it doesn't move at all. I keep the tools inside the box kinda divided with a few rags so they don't rattle, got the tool box at walmart for 35 bucks and it's been rained on big time and doesn't leak at all.

Man,
2 weeks ago, I was in traffic and a guy in his Ram was blowing those train horns.. but I kept looking around and it took me a while to realize who it was... I was really looking for a train since there was a train track close by...
I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm not sure I like them cause they don't really identify you as a car/jeep....
but if loud is what you want, that's the way to go... LOL
