Default 1" Body Lift

Question..BL or not???

I currently have a 2" RE BB with monoshocks and looking at adding LOD rear bumper & Tire carrier and LOD mid-width Front with winch. I am sure my JK will sag a little. I am running 33 x12.5R17 currently...but was wondering about the Body Lifts.

My question which Body Lift is a decent one on the market?

Also, I know about the rear bumper adjustment thread to remove the rear bumper gap. But I have a question I have a Sahara JKU with the Side Steps. will the Body Lift make a big gap under the side door rails & side steps...making it look dumb?

Any photos of people with a BL and running Sahara side steps???

I am open for suggestions or other options beside slapping down bigger coin on a 3" suspension lift.

the m.o.r.e. bl is a nice kit. it has aluminum pucks and all of your hardware. then there is also the performance accessories bl. everything u need just like the m.o.r.e. kit, but this kit uses composite pucks instead of aluminum. i had a 3" p.a. bl on my old dodge and it was great. came with everything u needed and i never had any issues with the composite pucks. some say they'd rather have aluminum because it's a metal rather than a plastic type material. others say go composite because there is no chance of corrosion. i've also heard people say that you'll get less transfer of road vibrations with a composite puck, but the stock rubber isolators are still used so i don't think that's a valid argument. i guess it all comes down to personal preference

and as far as the side steps go, i'm almost positive they bolt up to the bottom of the body. that means they'll just move up an inch along with everything else. no gaps, no worries.

Talking with Stan at Northridge4x4.ca...instead of the BL...may go with a heavier coil spring to reduce the sag!

As stated before, the steps move up with the body, you only get a gap in front and rear. Rear easily fixed( not in that pic though) front you really don't notice.

Awesome.... thanks mkjeep. How is the ride quality with the BL? Looks great with 35's as I may be going up to 35's when my STT's wear out.....they still look new after 2 years...

Would you go with BL or heavier coil springs??

With the weight your going to be adding, especially the front, I'd go with a coil lift. Freind of mine(JKRocker) had the TF BB on his, added a winch and bumper and was riding on bumpstops in the front He ended up getting 3in TF coils for the front. He still has a 2.5in spacer in the rear w a Smittybuilt xrc in the rear. The RE rear spacer is only 1.75in though. You would probably be better off to go coils all around.

That is what I was thinking going all round with Coils...Stan at northridge recommended to go with coils with the weight I am thinking of adding on if possible 2.5" Coil. He said it would be a matter of time that I would be needing to go with a heavier coil spring! Appreciate the advice!!! Only want to do this once. BTW...jeep looks awesome!!

Performance Assesories has a 1" or 2" body lift that you could go with. It comes with everything you need, as well as detailed instructions for the installation. (really easy install, you can do it in your driveway) We have a 1" on our Green 2Dr. and it looks factory.

Anyone know if I go with a 1" BL and get the LOD rear bumper with tire carrier...if I can get rid of the 1" gap by using the stock bumper write-up???
