Default Does the TF 2.5BB level the JK unlimited?

Money is tight and I want a 2.5 lift and Level because the bumper and winch( down the road ) will be aprox 225lb But I don't and won't be doing and "hardcore" off roading. I will be doing some moderate rocks in Moab. The tire size will never go bigger than 33's.

Will the 2.5BB level the Jeep?
Will the stock springs support the extra 225lbs?
If (when) the stock springs start to sag can I put in an extra 3/4" disc?

again this is my daily and will only see Moab one week a year.

I know that the coils are really the way to go to do it right but I just can't swing the cost of the coils Plus the install, I can do the install of the BB myself.

No it will not. The BB kits have a 2.5" front spacer and a 2" rear spacer. The coil kits will raise the front 3.1" on a 4dr and 2.1" on the rear.

Most members who install the BB also add an extra puck up front to level it out, especially if you have a heavy winch & bumper up front.

OK so a BB plus a 3/4 would acomplish my goal of a lift and level? without adding more "stuff" that I really don't need. I know that the coils would be the way to get the most flex but honestly do I really need it? and how much extra droop does it provide?

I know that these are noob questions and I really should know the answers but here's the deal, I want the coil but it's not in (and won't be) in the "family" budget so now I'm trying to "sell" myself on the BB.

I'm trying to get to the end result on the minimum $'s spent.

Thanks for understanding.

Just my opinion but I wouldn't put 3 1/4" worth of spacers on the front of the Jeep to level it out with the weight of a bumper and winch. You're stock coils will still be heavily compressed.

You could buy a set of front springs to even it out once you know how much the extra weight drops the front.

I see that TF has a 1/2" and thats probably the additional one that I would need, correct?
2.5+.5=3 up front
2 in the rear
this would give nearly same "lift" as the coils, 3.1 and 2.1.

Ok, I guess that this will work just fine for my needs.
Thanks.

Unless it's changed recently I though the BB spacers were 2.5" front AND rear ? At least they were when I ran that kit.

I would save yourself the hassle of doing it twice and go straight to coils. They are firmer and won't sag like the factory coils with all that extra weight. Plus they ride better than the factory coils and get you level unlike the spacer kit. Your front end will be riding on the bump stops with the BB and heavy bumper setup. Learn from those who have been through it all ready and do it once btw - I'm personally not a fan of the stacked spacer solution

What lift are you seeing with the 2 door models?

Also, any issues with drive shafts on 2dr models with the 2.5 coil kits?
