Default RCV front axle shafts.....

Besides the comfort of them not binding are they stronger than the traditional U-joint chromoly shafts available? I don't expect my jeep to run smooth when shes all locked up so I don't really care about that however if it means I can safely run 40's and keep my 44 up front I can see spending the extra 500 bucks over traditional chromoly shafts. What do you guys think about these RCV's?

Depends on your terrain, here on the rocks it would be very nice to have CV joints. When I upgrade to moly shafts, I'll be hard pressed not to spend the extra money for the CV. SOO much better design. It will also be nicer on the tires when crawling/hard wheel angles.

If your terrian is more of a soft dirt/clay, you may not find them to be as much of as advantage...

Just my 2cents.

Running 40s with RCV shafts your R&P will be the fuse, just so you know...

Something is always the fuse. Being weaker than rcv shafts means only that it's weaker than rcv shafts.

RCV has a no fault warranty so run what you want and if they break just get a replacement.

Looking at their test numbers the claim is that these axles are much stronger than regular chromo shafts and u-joints.

I have seen them up close and all I can say is WOW

Who cares about blowing up the shafts and having a lifetime warranty. They won't be liable if other stuff breaks.
