Default 2 inch lift question

Ok so i have a 2dr Sahara stock suspension and im looking to put a 2 inch lift on. I want to maintain closest to stock ride. I was looking to keep the stock shocks and just add the spacers. Im not looking for extreme off road driving I would just like to add a little larger tire on the stock rims. Im looking to add Mich. LTX M/S or A/T tires but there not offered in my tire size thus the larger tire size. Both tires are 33 inch size. So will a 2 in lift be able to handle the tires without any rubbing.

With the spacers the 33's will fit without lifting.

Are you talking about wheel spacers?

Yeah I think he's talking about wheel spacers. I've been researching the same exact thing with pretty much the same goals. My Rubicon is capable enough for my purposes, but I'd like it to look a little tougher also. I believe you'll be able to run 33's in an 11.5" width on spacers with probably very little to no rubbing on your stock Jeep. You might even get a 12.5" wide tire under it. If you are keeping the stock wheels, you might want to just go this route for starters and see how she looks and drives, then add the lift if you really think you need it. I might actually do the same thing. The Spidertrax spacers seem to be $99 for a pair (so $200 total) from Northridge.

I was looking to do the same thing just beef it up a bit. I was looking at the Skyjacker or the TeraFlex spacer kits.

Depends on the width of the new tire. Check the FAQ's for a bit more info, but stock width 33's you can fit without lift or wheel spacers. If you go to a 12.50 width, you may want to do some trimming and add spacers...

We have a 2.5" kit that starts at $135 with shock extension so you can use your stock shocks.

We also have a 2.5" mid configuration for $179. Which adds a rear track-bar bracket & ext sway bar links

Sorry, I should have been more clear.
Yeah I meant wheel spacers. Usually when people just say "33s" they mean 33x12.5, which would require wheel spacers if you are using stock wheels.
If they are 33's that are narrower then you won't need them.

Also, if you want a lift that retains factory ride quality, and it's just to give it a little tougher look and not really be be a big off-road upgrade, then a budget boost is the way to go.

Rough Country's above ^^^ looks like a pretty good deal, or the Teraflex is also very popular.

Been happy with my 2" RE with monoshocks lift...perfect stance for 33x12.50's. However, if you are considering bumpers and winch...look at saving your money for Coil springs.
