Default TF BB vs Coil lift?

I just am looking for peoples opinion of each. I am looking at the 2.5 BB with shock relocator and 2.5 coil with shock relocator. Is there any real advantage to the coil lift if they both use the oem shocks? I am going to be running 35's which will fit on both so just trying to see if the extra $$$ can really be justified for me. It is my daily driver with mostly on road commute and beach sand.

they both allow you to run 35's.....

they both do the job. the coils might have a better load carrying ability if you want to run a winch, steel bumpers etc.

Coils will definitely help with weight issues. I loaded my old WRX rims in the back of my 2dr with stock springs and i could notice the sag. my rear end was actually matching the front. So i would say about .5 to 1" of sag.

The BB gives 2.5"
The coils give over 3" on a 4door, closer to 4" on a 2door.

Stock shocks with adapters will work with either kit, but it seems that travel would be limited quite a bit on the coil lift. You will also want to consider adding more components with the extra height from the coils.

For the price we are selling the coil kit for I would get the Coil kit.

Also the Factory coils with 2.5" spacers and extra weight seem to sag pretty quick .

I'd say when you raise your center of gravity (COG), you'll want stronger shock valving to help control the extra forces at play...and, your stock coils will be a bit wimpy at the higher height for the same reasons.

I'd rather run longer shocks that will be able to compress enough, and extend enough, to give me better articulation...as long as I'm getting new ones anyway to get the proper valving.

Same thing happened to me as ECHO....winch and front bumpers will sag the stock springs by 3/4" or more.

Go with a Coil spring lift this way you are covered if you should go with winch and bumpers down the road.
