so i let the jeep warm up yesterday morning....go back outside and windshield is cracked all along the bottom....wtf.... temp change must have split it.... safelite is supposed to come replace it for free though sense they warranty their work for the life of the vehicle..... whats up with these damn JK windshields? i'll be on number three soon

 

I myself just had my first window Phail...after 19500 miles . Guess i'll have to look for a replacement this summer.

 

The windshield sitting nearly vertical doesnt help with flying rocks either. I have the same crack, luckily in Florida you don't pay a deductible!

 

at 11K miles on it I have 1 chip/crack about 8 inches long, I have one quarter size chip on the far right passenger side of the winshield with a 3inch crack and a 16 inch crack. then lastly I have 2 more small chips one above the rear view mirror and one about centered across from the driver's left shoulder.

4 chips and/or cracks with 11K miles. Anyone beat this record lol?

 

I'm on #4 windshield, just got a new one this week. 47,000m

 

I don't have any cracks YET, but I have 5-6 pretty nice stone chips. Thats after one year and ~20k miles. I figure its just a matter of time before I'm replacing it.

 

I am on my 3rd windshield and its cracked as well. I am going to drive with it till I get a ticket or have need a saftey inspection. Oh all cracks have started in the same spot to.

 

The flat, nearly vertical windshield on a Jeep is a rock magnate. I replaced my first windshield after about 7 months.
