Default EVO Gusset install question

For those of you that have installed the EVO Gussets, did you remove the ball joints or weld a small amount, cool the weld. Then move to the next gusset and repeat until finished? Part two to the same topic. Did you stick weld or wire feed? Thanks in advance.

Wire feed. We did it with 2 of us. He weld about an inch at a time, I went after him and pour water on the area to keep it cool. No problems on 2 jeeps, our firs time.

I spent about 1 hour welding each side. 1 1/2" welds, followed by wet rags. I have had no problems yet in the 3k miles that they have been on. I used a Lincoln wire feed.

Thanks, I'll attempt it soon. I really didn't want to pull the ball joints.

I was at Off Road EVO this afternoon, and they quoted me about $230 (parts and labor). I imagine the labor would be $140ish ... if you decide to go that route instead.
