Default Thinking about custom jerry can holder on rancho tire carrier

Well I think the title says it all, but I've been thinking about welding something to the side opposite the tire on my rancho rear bumper with tire carrier. I was wondering if anyone has done anything similar and had any suggestions. My thought was to weld some kind of platform for one can to sit on up above where the highlift jack mount is. Any thoughts.

I built one for my rugged ridge tire carrier. 1.5" square tubing, 1/4 plate for the bottom bracket, and a couple 2" flat bottom u-bolts to allow it to slide up or down the carrier to adjust for tire size.
