Default Maintenance on lifted Jeeps

I read in the installation kit that you need to re check bolt torques every 3k miles when you put a lift on your Rig. Are you guys doing this? And if you are doing this Which bolts are coming loose? I went with 295 70 17 tires.

I only torqued mine after the first 3k miles. Never had to after that, and you shouldnt really need to.

I retorqued my about 500 miles after installation (front track bar was slightly below its spec) and I inspect the whole suspension about every 2K. I used to check the torque on each of these inspections but it's been fine since I retorqued.

I also check the wheel spacers torque every time I rotate the tires.

Inspecting the suspension and torque settings only takes 30-45 min and really isn't a hassle if you keep your undercarriage clean. Yeah, I know some think that packing it with mud and rust is a badge of honor. Maybe so, but it makes maintenance much more difficult.

I checked mine after the first 500 miles and will also at 3000. It does not take all that long really.

If you are going off road, it does not hurt to check every bolt and the fluids on your jeep on a regular basis. It is amazing what will work loose. It does not take very long and it does not hurt to just crawl around under your rig.
