Rubberizing the interior floor and underbody? good or bad idea??
How is everyone doing?
I have searched for a thread and was curious if anyone has done the following:
Instead of using line-X or Herculiner or other bed lining material on the floor of their interior.
I was thinking about the rubber undercoating used on cars and stuff, it is sold in cans at auto stores. So basically i want to spray this rubber undercoating and place the carpet back in cause my wife doesn't like the whole bed lined feeling because she takes her shoes off every now and then.
what is everyone's opinion? because if i did that i was going to also spray the underbody of the jeep with that material. Any opinions on that too? i havent read anyone doing this or using line-x or anything like that.

does no one have any experience with this?? I dont want to do it and have it back fire on me. I live in DC metro area where the use of salt is a ritual when it snows, so i want to avoid any rust on the under carriage
what are the advantages of getting line-x or bed liner over just this rubberized spray??

I tried some from napa one time on a cj I had and hated the stuff. I sprayed it on the inner floors and outer fender wells. After 3 or 4 days it started to fad bad and scratches off easy. Can't think of the name of the product, just remembered it was in a spray can. Today, I just bought herculiner to apply in my fender wells. Check out Gator Hide, I think thats what it's called. It's more rubbery.
The herculiner cost me $85 for a gallon of it. Ask me next week if it's worth the $85 and the trouble of doing it myself.
