Default Rough Country 2.5" B.B & Body Lift

I'm not sure if this is even doable...can you run with a 2.5" B.B and then add a 1.25" body lift? Or do you have to go with Rough Country's 3.75" combo lift that includes the progressive coils & body lift mounts as a package?? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Yes you can do this. The body lift is completely separate from the B.B. It will raise your tub (body) up off of the frame by 1.25". It will not affect Drive shaft angle or suspension geometry -besides the slightly raised CG-. If you have a manual you may need to trim the shifter boot.

I'm assuming RC will give you a price break for the package, so if you're planning on doing both just get the package.

Would it be better to go with the combo lift (coils & body) or would it matter in terms of on road handling. I ask because it is my DD and cost isn't nessecarily my only consideration. I don't want to lose the stock ride. (comfort)

It really depends on what you're willing to pay for. The coil lift will include more parts. You won't need a body lift unless you've gonna flex on 35's.

The body lift won't affect your on road handling. I guess you may notice the higher CG if you're bobbing and weaving all the time, but it's negligible.

The drawbacks of a BL are- higher CG and a funky lookin gap between the rear bumper and tub. Positives- you can clear larger tires at full flex and you can give your frame a nice pressure washing from above due to the gap in the fender wells.

After looking at the rough country site, they aren't giving you any price break at all with their 2.5" vs 3.75". You're paying $90 for the BL. (I got mine from them for cheaper than that via their ebay account). Get the 2.5" and if you feel the need for some more room throw down the money for the BL.

Can someone tell what the tub is?? I am scheduled to add a 1 inch body lift to my pro comp 2.5 coil lift I already have installed. I'm starting to fear it may look stupid.
