Need your opinion of Jeep dealers 2' Mopar lift on 08 2 dr Rubicon
Hi,
I would like to put 35s on my 08 Rubicon for wheeling, and also because it looks better than the stock 32s. I would like to preserve the Lifetime warranty on the powertrain...and it looks like the only way to do that is to let the Chrys/Jeep dealership install their Lift version which is a Mopar 2' Lift. They claim that this lift will fully accomodate 35 inch tires...and that the lift is similar in performance to many aftermarket 4 inch lifts.
The cost is higher (especially with them installing), but at least I know where I can go back to if there is a prob....and...I keep the warranty.
I would like others opinions:
1) Any input on this setup
2) Do you know if the 2' Mopar lift will be any better than the stock Rubicon look? It looks to me as though my Rubicon came stock higher up than the other models...do you know if this is true? If so, i would hate to install a 2' lift, only to find that I end up just about where I already am with the Rubicon (after spending another $2500!!).
Would appreciate any insight you have. Please send your input.
Thanks.

You seem pretty set with your decision with the MOPAR lift, but 95% of the people on the forum here run aftermarket kits including myself and installed them with no issues with warranties. They have to prove that the our aftermarket stuff caused the issue. Just FYI, and they will rip off you badly on that kit. Good luck.

Lotta threads on mopar lifts and warranties. No matter what they tell you that lift is not covered under your lifetime warranty. Tell them to put it in writing and see what they say. Oh, they're charging you out the butt for an $800 Superlift with bilsteins.
