The control arms have that red grease in them. What kind is that?
I what to make sure what I buy is compatible with what is already in there.
I know this sounds stupid , but people are telling me that I shouldn't mix Synthetic grease with standard .

TeraFlex uses high temp grease from Lubrication Engineers for the control arms/driveshafts. I've used a synthetic grease and a high temp grease in my JK.

Where are you guys getting you're grease from? A lot of the autoparts stores here only have basic grease but I would like to get some of that higher end tacky red synthetic grease like the stuff that came in my TF control arms.

Amsoil makes a very "tacky" grease. It's synthetic of course and they even explain that it helps keep water out of joints by providing a protective film. (AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease (GPOR2)). I use it and have had no problems.

Lucas red and tacky is a good grease to use. It stays where it belongs.

If you go in the water allot, look at boat trailer axle grease,( prevents rust and tacky like others have said) and ask the manufacture of your equipment what they recommend
